So what is Dwell on Design?
"Dwell on Design is a three-day celebration that brings together the best and brightest products, services, and thought leaders in modern design today for a series of conversations, demonstrations, tours, and much more. In addition to featuring over 350 exhibitors on the show floor, Dwell on Design encourages an ongoing design dialogue, showcasing over 70 presentations on three separate stages. This year, the show goes beyond the urban dwelling to encompass all aspects of the modern lifestyle, seeking out a new definition for modern beyond expectations"This year's show focused a lot on green and sustainable living spaces. The exhibit included modern, sustainably designed homes that uses reclaimed and/or green materials. Truly it proves that with enough creativity and good design, one can create something that can be good for the environment.
Just a couple of things that caught my fancy...
Totally enthralled with G-Pod's British Rotating Lounger which combines garden seating and resting environment. Totally love how it can transform from a lounger to dining set. An added feature is that it can be rotated to position the entrance into the sun or shade and even rotate out of the wind.

These covered trailers I think are perfect when we go to do our annual Mammoth camping trip.
My favorite exhibit was definitely the pimped-out Airstream Travel Trailers. A total luxury as this particular model costs $90K. But this would be perfect for those long road trips plus it saves you paying for hotels as it includes a working kitchen (with microwave and sink), toilet, shower and a queen size bed.

Walking around the exhibit I met this steely fellow. It actually acknowledged me as I took a picture of it.

|Enjoying the quasi-outdoors|
After all the walking, we were starved. Glad that when we got to my co-worker's house we were greeted with an authentic, Saudi Arabian lunch spread. First time eating Saudi Arabian cuisine and I totally love it. Pretty similar to Mediterranean cuisine which I can eat everyday.

Though we spend 5 days of the week together, it is still nice to hang-out with my co-workers on the weekends. Totally grateful to work with these people.
